Business goals or any goals for that matter, are easier to achieve when you look at it as a puzzle. Different pieces have to be put together slowly and meticulously to finish the project. Without defining the "end game", that can make goals harder to reach as well.
In business, I've noticed that compromises may have to occur to reach a particular goal. For example, in order for me to build a clientele I had to work at a salon first. Everyone can't start out on top.
