Every business has a bad day, but there is a difference between laziness & incompetence. Both are almost equal in results which are usually poor business performance and income loss. Here are some signs of an incompetent workplace or business.
(1) VOICEMAIL IS FULL
This is a huge sign that no one stays on top of customer complaints, inquiries or communications. Voice-mail messages are quite easy to check. More often than not, if a voice-mail is full thats a sign of poor customer service.
(2) NUMEROUS BAD REVIEWS
What's important to look for is consistency. If there are consistent bad reviews, this is a bad sign. One of two here & there could be a troll, but 10 or more unique stories is a bad sign.
(3)HAVING TO REACH OUT TO CORPORATE
If you find that the lower level employees aren't assisting you effectively, reaching out to corporate equates to incompetence. That employee is PAID to solve your problem. Their incompetence makes the company look bad.
