We've all seen them. You find that one coworker who somehow thinks they're so intelligent then no one realizes their "straddling the fence". They'll somehow be a part of almost everyone's conversation and their perspective seems to almost always be neutral.
Many times these snitches end up rising through the ranks even getting into management positions in organizations. This is often due to either giving the false perception that nothing's wrong within the organization or manufacturing problems and putting out fires in an attempt to look like "management material". It's quite predictable.
Many times incompetent employees find faults and other employees with a sole purpose of hiding their severe inadequacy. Sometimes the inadequacy is literally covering for some type of scandalous or illegal behavior.
Here are some signs you're dealing with either the workplace snitch or incompetent management.
● Theywant to avoid emails at all costs
● They don't want to respond in writing to emails
● They listen to the gossip or complaints you may have and only respond with neutral comments
● They are efficient at gaslighting. In other words they attempt to try to take you out of reality by sugar coating clear and competence by ownership or management.
●Often times they would rather have a verbal conversation even when initiated on an email thread
Tip: Keep an email paper trail. It is the beginning of protecting yourself in regards to future litigation. Many judges do not accept text messages but accept emails. It's a time and day stamp that cannot be altered if ever subpoenaed.
