I used boiling hot water and ajax dish soap. It's a slow scrubbing process,but it's clear this is the remedy. I knew my paint was water based because I left painted items outside to dry overnight only to wake up and see the dew washed the paint away. So if dew could do that, boiling hot water definitely could handle paint on my carpet.
